How to get a 180 on the LSAT

So you want to be a lawyer and you want to go the best law school that you can get into. Your eyes gleam when they stare at the schools known as the T14: Yale Law school, Harvard Law school, NYU Law school, Columbia Law School, Stanford Law are just a few that you would love to gain entrance into.

Or maybe you just want to go to a local school in your state but would love to get a good scholarship or financial aid. You do not want to have to take out a lot of law school loans and so you hope to get a good financial aid packet.

Whatever your reason, you need to score well in the LSAT, also known as the law school admissions test. The LSAT can make or break your law school application and is given more weight than the personal essays, letters of recommendation and your transcripts.

There are several books that you should use to ace the LSAT if you are not going to take a LSAT prep class. (If you are going to take a prep class I recommend Testmasters and Powerscore.)

1. The Logic Games Bible is a MUST-HAVE. This book will teach anyone, no matter how far behind you think you fall, to learn how to master the logic games.

2. Do the old LSAT prep tests that are made available to you.

3. Read books and magazines that have dense material, in order to get your mind prepared for the reading comprehension passages.

4. Get a proper stopwatch to time yourself in each section.

5. Get a good dictionary and thesaurus so that you know what words mean and what synonyms are for the most popular words.

Give yourself at least 2 months to study adequately for the LSAT and try and study for a few hours everyday. If you do all of that you will do well and possibly score a 180.

"If you do all of that you will do well and possibly score a 180."
